Itz ME...after all

Posted by Lagnajit Pradhan on 2:31 AM

One of my friends referred me as an unreasonable, illogical & a baseless human being today. Ooph!!! The sentence itself is very unreasonable, I must say. Well to be honest she is not the first one to tell me so. A lot many friends of mine have already mentioned that. Though they all understand me very well but then I thought to use my blog as a clarification. First of all let me discard that baseless thing because I am not going to buy that. Because every single living being or anything has some base associated with it. I hope even she did not mean it that way. Anyways let me come to the first two words. Most of my friends take me as that primarily because of my unusual behavior. The first thing that I would like to highlight over here is I always like to keep myself completely wrapped. That does not essentially mean I am rebellious but I am close to a large extent. Close as in from my childhood itself I have never been open to anybody except my mother. Even my father hardly gets to hear a “papa” from me. As I grew up I did not get the chance to interact with my mom like I was doing always. Whenever I needed something I used to say that to my mom who in turn conveyed the same to my father & ultimately I got what I wanted. I have had a lot of friends probably more than anybody else as I have studied in 6 different schools, 3 different colleges for intermediate & graduation & now another college for my post graduation. But not a single one of them knows me to the core as I never wanted them to do so. Anyways coming back to my unusual behavior first of all I have always stayed at places where I was viewed as the son of an administrative officer. If you can’t imagine let me tell you it’s a very hard thing to digest. I don’t really appreciate getting that silly attention just because your father is in a high post. If you start behaving like, you are expected to, then you come out as an arrogant person. When you don’t, then people feel like you are avoiding them. Thank god now I am in such a place where it does not bother me anymore. So all these things actually contributed to my fewer interactions with other people. I JUST BEHAVE UNUSUALLY because I don’t like the formal counterpart of it. I show extra penchant towards someone in the very first meeting because I feel like he/she is one who matches my frequency level. So become good friends rather than taking one step at a time. By friends I mean only friends. I also avoid few from the very first meeting itself as I can figure out that we two can’t share any kind of relationship at any point of time. Now talking about my illogical behavior hmm I would say probably that goes with my image. I never want to really come out as a serious, intellectual person who you can respect. I would rather love to go with an image which nobody notices till it does something extra ordinary. I am not really bothered as I have a knack of doing extra ordinary things often. . Chalo its enough for now. I better give some break to my eyes & go to sleep. I just want to say guys portraying as unreasonable & illogical are the ones who CAN be the most reasonable & logical ones when it is required.

Lagnajit. The winner of time. One who utilizes time in the best manner.
Jeet. The winner. One who does not have a word called losing in his dictionary.
Both the names signify me. But unfortunately I don’t symbolize any of them.

The reason for saying all these is I feel I am trapped at the dead end. I don’t have any ways to come out of it. Some problems that I created for myself, some people feel as created by me & for others I am not responsible at all. But still I am jammed with no solution in sight. I am in a war with no ammunitions with me. I don’t know why I chose to get into all these but probably my ARROGANCE & OVER CONFIDENCE entitled me to do so. Now there can’t be a better phrase for me. “DHOBI KA KUTTA, NA GHAR KA NA GHAAT KA”. Please go through them & if you have any suggestions please come forward with it.
• I am not getting my desired marks at all primarily because of two reasons. First I am not at all serious. I mean I can’t expect to get good marks by studying for just 15 minutes before a midterm or an end term. Though it does not matter for me but still my self esteem does not allow me to be in the average region of the class. I need to be there at the top.
• I am facing problems with my choice of career. My father is strictly against the profession that I have already chosen for myself. Now I guess I will have to make a tradeoff between the two. I just can’t make up my mind how to reach at a negotiating stage.
• Girls are nothing other than destructive weapons. Just when I was coming to the normal mode after going through that entire mental trauma, now I am into another big problem. I just can’t decide what to do. People say boys have no control over their emotions so they just fall for every other girl who cares for them. But I say its bullshit. Why can’t be a boy& a girl be friends only?
Well there are a whole lot of other things that i wanted to write but don’t feel like anymore. So I am cutting it short over here only. You guy stake care & enjoy.

Worst SATURDAY just after the GOOD FRIDAY

Posted by Lagnajit Pradhan on 6:09 PM
Hmm. Finally I am going to get a day’s off from the mind-numbing classes on the eve of Sunday. I must call it as that only as Sunday is no less than a religious occasion or a national holiday kind of thing for us now. But what a Saturday it has been so far for me!!!

1. I got up at 8.15 in the morning & my first lecture of the day was scheduled at 8.30 that too of Richa mam who does not give attendance to the late comers.

2. My group was asked to present right away in the very first class itself.

3. I actually set a world record I must say by giving the worst presentation ever.

4. In the very next class, our group was again asked to give a presentation in which I actually beat my previous world record set just a lecture ago by giving another pathetic one.

5. Right after the lunch I got another bad news. I got only 14 marks out of 20 in the midterm exam of marketing management where as the students who have not yet got a single B grade in any of the exams had got more than 15.5.

6. The day almost got over till it gave me the most dismal shock. My name has now got a mention in the defaulter’s list of MCS for not attending adequate lectures.

So I am experiencing the nastiest Saturday of my life. The day is over but let’s wait & see what does the night has in store for me.

My Love !!! Why can't I have you ??

Posted by Lagnajit Pradhan on 2:04 AM

Hey guys! My writing skills are pathetic. It becomes even more pathetic when it comes down to writing something which involves the feelings of heart. Because I believe I am a person who has a heart only for the smooth transportation of blood & oxygen with no feelings in it. I tried to change myself a lot many times but I guess the Almighty wants me to be like that only.
I believe a lot of words go unspoken which I should speak up. I just want you to know all that.
I don’t know who my love is. Some say she is the first girl that I met when I was in my LKG class. Some say she is the first lady professor who taught me physics in the primary school. Some say she is the first friend of mine who got married last week. Some say she is the first girl friend that I had who walked away from me because she thought our choices did not match & finally very few & to be specific only I say she is the one who has changed my life even before being a part of it. I know she can’t be mine. But I consider myself really fortunate because I get to have a glimpse of her every single night in my dreams.
My Love!!! This one is exclusively dedicated to you…
I love you for WHO YOU ARE.
I love you for your tenderness when I look into your eyes.
I love you for your assertiveness when I don’t make you feel special.
I love you for your bashfulness when my palm touches your hand accidentally.
I love you for your vigor when I walk away from you without expressing my love.
I love you for your appealing look when you say “Please don’t do this.”
I love you for your irritated look when you say “You have to do this.”
I love you for your spongy tone when I say “I love you.”
I love you for your destructive tone when I don’t say “I love you.”
I love you for your poise when you feel that I will be always there with you.
I love you for your anxiety when you feel you will lose me someday.
I love you for your fury when I notice some girl passing by.
I love you for your apprehensiveness when I don’t notice any other girl.
Just want to say you my love!!!
That you are the best &
I love you for WHO YOU ARE.

HUH !!!

Posted by Lagnajit Pradhan on 9:01 PM
HUH!!! This is the paramount way to initiate this post of mine. The motive behind such kind of an expression is the celestial experience that I got after being in the board room for duration of more than 9 hrs. it was actually the presentation session of the NGO project that I carried out for a month. It was my first individual presentation before a panel but to be honest I was not in the frame of mind at all. Probably the state level debates & extempore helped. I have so many things to write but then I guess I would have to divide all the matter into different posts otherwise it would become a bhagwat gita. Hmm this post of mine concentrates on my presentation & the criticism that I got from the panel of EXPERTS. When I say experts I really mean that. Well I was the 5th student from the group who was asked to present. It all started on a very lighter note with the panel asking me about my hometown & all. I presented whatever I had to & to the best of my ability. I could figure out it did not go as I expected it to but it was relatively ok. But after the presentation got over I actually got to know that I had given a presentation. The experts started shooting bullets from all angles, some hand grenades were also thrown and rockets were launched. The area covered everything ranging from the mistakes on slides to the blunders during the project work, from the mistakes in the way of presentation to the mistakes on the part of the NGO also. They were shooting & I was showing them all the skills that I had learnt by doing a 2 month course in LIFE STYLE MANAGEMENT (thanks to ITM, for a change). All of a sudden a bullet hit me from nowhere n I got wounded. I was embattled for taking Barak Obama’s name instead of any Indian leader. The first thing that came to my mind was “What the f***”. I wish I could say that at that very moment. The expert who was talking simple shit about his fundas of Indian culture, tradition & all , did not even know that it’s the Indian culture only which says to appreciate others. To quote one of his statements he said “Barak Obama is a politician & a manipulative man. Tony Blair is a better leader.” I can make out that there are only two reasons for such kind of a statement. Either you don’t know the basic definition of a leader or you want to get the attention by giving a completely bizarre statement. I guess it was a combination of the two in his case. There were a lot of other things that happened one after another. I mean the expert did not realize that he was teaching politics to a politician. Manipulating the facts to make it beneficial for me is like in my blood. See Belonging to a family having a landlord, a high court judge & an administrative officer really helps. I should not mention all the things because DIPLOMACY is one of the most important traits to be a good politician which I desperately aspire to be. Anyways I am cutting it short here only. I just want to say that it was his good luck probably that saved him from a clear disaster called JEET. Lastly I would like to say I really respect that person for achieving so much in his life, for having such a vast knowledge in almost every field. I just want to advice him to be a bit flexible. That would command more respect from his students for him. Anyways Sir have a good life. Hope to be in the wrong side of yours someday.

Development of Responsible Corporate Citizens ??!??

Posted by Lagnajit Pradhan on 5:23 PM

Hi all. I am back again to criticize something which I feel I am very good at. You see its my core competency that i don't want to get rid off. Anyways there is an English word which every ITM student knows about yet they are confused about it. Its not a new issue at all that our batch is experiencing because our predecessors have passed out but till date they don't even know what does that word mean. Well it is DRCC. I just got to know that the full form is development of responsible corporate citizens. Now my friends, can you guess what ways our administration has thought of to make us RESPONSIBLE citizens ? Believe me you can never. Because a lot of EXTENSIVE research has been made by manipulating the EFFICIENT knowledge pool of ITM to give rise to such an INNOVATIVE technique. When i first came across this word i tried to get the full form but then i could not. The administration actually expects us to attend guest lectures, seminars, paper presentations as a part of DRCC post lunch or in the so called leisure time that we get. I don't know what relevance does it have for a marketing student to attend various HR & finance conferences.I don't know what fun they get by blocking our innovation. By blocking our innovation I mean they carry out those things in those hours of the day in which either we are supposed to sleep or simply do nothing. That in turn entitles us to relax sometime other than it which always collides with our STUDY timings.....he he..As far as I am considered I have only 10 % of attendance till date in DRCC..I have already lost 10 marks for not attending a boring HR conference which is not even a subject that i am going to study. I seriously hope the brain which gave this kind of an idea to develop responsible corporate citizens does not get to implement any of its other ideas.Anyways I know I am going to get screwed up for my dismal attendance but still cant help it. Anyways I am signing off now. Buhbye & take care.

From top of the K2 to deep into indian ocean

Posted by Lagnajit Pradhan on 3:55 PM
Hi all!!! Today the result of my second trimester got declared. Guess what i got a gpa of 2.88. Let me remind you that i had got 3.5 last time which had made me the 2nd topper of the class. This time i stand in the lower half of the class. Though it does not matter to me in any possible way but i thought i should show the same enthusiasm this time also that i showed when i got 3.5. One thing is for sure this is not the exact reflection of my performance. i never deserved 3.5 neither should i get 2.88. But then there are a lot of factors. I did not attend the HR conference which pushed me into the B grade in spite being the topper in that paper in exams. I also got my first D grade in ITM thanks to ....well probably i don't want to discuss over here. Anyways my cgpa still remains above 3 which is the only consolation for me at this moment. I know i will bounce back & will be back with a bang again but then don't feel like giving any effort. A lot of factors are there which i should not discuss now considering the current job crisis. Anyways just wanted to tell you my results....Logging out now. Babye & keep enjoying.

Taking me for granted is your biggest blunder

Posted by Lagnajit Pradhan on 10:23 AM
Hi readers!!! I thank you all for visiting my worthless blog once again. If you don’t appreciate me attaching that word “worthless” then I must apologize. But at the same time I must also mention that this post is a complete stupid one having no sense. I am still posting this because I believe everything is not done keeping in mind what people expect from you. Sometimes you must respect your own inner drive & feelings. This blog of mine contains a lot of “I”, but perhaps that is the way in which I want to portray myself as from now on. So guys I am really sorry if I sound a bit arrogant. Though that’s not the real Lagnajit, but then you have to act differently in different situations. I have understood one thing for sure IT’S ALWAYS BETTER TO BE PROACTIVE THAN BEING REACTIVE IRRESPECTIVE OF THE SITUATION THAT ONE IS IN & THE CONSEQUENCES THAT IT MAY LEAD TO. Well I just want to mention some incidents of my life & how I got to learn from those. To be honest rather than letting me to learn anything these incidents made me to go against the motion & I became all the more scared from people & the hell called life. I represent the heights of pessimism at this moment probably but then it’s the reality of life.

Well to begin with I would like to tell you all about my first few days at ITM business school, navi Mumbai. That view of the ever happening metro from the sky is still very fresh in my mind. It was not the first time that I was coming to Bombay but then there was definitely something special about that trip. I was somewhat apprehensive of the fact that how to cope up with the “Mumbai culture”. But then that initial journey became easy after meeting some really good friends. We were 16 in all as a group. We celebrated together; we shared a lot among ourselves till small conflicts started rising their stupid heads from nowhere & that group became extinct in no time. Some went for new friends which I call as “Brand repositioning”. Still we had small group which was like a family. But the crap called “EGO” then took its toll. This is the way people change & the direction of your life takes a u-turn. I can recall the song of page 3 at this hour. “kitne ajeeb rishtey hai yahan pe” Probably I am deviating from my subject of concern. So let me come to the incidents that I was mentioning about.

Before commenting on anybody I apologize, but I would do it because I feel it is necessary for me at least. Let me tell you that I am not like a “doodh ka dhula” kind. But I always criticize others to make them aware of their mistakes & I expect others to do the same with me also.

First thing I want to mention about is a small kind of award function that we, the students of batch A tried to organize during the time of Oscars as a pastime activity & with the motive of simple fun as we all believed that the 3rd term was getting really boring. But then we faced a problem. Some students of the class did not want to participate in it for whatever reasons that they considered valid. The sad part was the guys who were nominated in the so called bad categories were enjoying to the core but the guys who opposed, they were actually nominated in all the good categories. What I inferred was probably they did not participate because they were treated as every other student of the batch which they didn’t like at all. I just have a simple question “if you consider yourself as a true leader then allow others to take the lead in some other activities as well.” I believe that would make you a better leader. You are going to be famous till the date your attitude comes into the scene.

The second incident happened just yesterday during one of the marketing presentations in the class. People who boast of being professional were behaving like nursery kids & were showing the worst immature behavior possible. Before blowing their own horns they could have thought only once that they were in a class of a professional post graduation course. I appreciate our faculty for doing the need of the hour. But then I have two more points over here. First one is for the presenters. “Provide the data which are facts or stick to the basics. In order to make your show a lot more interesting don’t fake.” The second thing is to behave while presenting. It’s not the audience who is the center of attraction while you are presenting. So probably you should try to maintain the decorum. Now I also want to say something to the audience. After such an intense presentation don’t ask silly questions which have no sense. Give it a try to believe the presenters because they have done the research on it. So they must be having a better idea. All I believe is the situation could have been handled a lot better by both the audience & the presenters. I think 4 of them were involved in all that & to be frank i had a high degree of respect for at least two of them. But now none of them deserve that & they wont get it also. but i have a piece of suggestion for those two for sure. i can recall a sher of dr. kumar whose last line is "jo mera ho nahin shakta wo tera ho nahin shakta". Please guys try to judge a person before making him a friend of yours. You would excel a lot more after that.

Now something I want to clarify with my friends. You guys have been asking me about my strong statements in my orkut profile. Let me tell you the reason. I wanted to have an image which is very low profile, immature, carefree & all other words having meanings which fall into the similar bracket. But then everyone started taking me for granted. I was fine with that also because I knew my motive of coming to Bombay & that was not being hampered by all these things. But now it has started having an impact on that also. So I just want to say is GUYS IF YOU THINK I AM THAT KIND OF A PERSON THEN I AM AFRAID YOU ARE SERIOUSLY MISTAKEN. I JUST DON’T WANT TO FIGHT BACK BECAUSE WHENEVER I DO THAT, I DO THAT HARD. I AM MORE THAN JUST CAPABLE TO CONVERT YOUR “BRAHMASTRA” INTO A “BOOMERANG” FOR YOU. I HAVE SEEN & DONE IT ALL. PROBABLY IT IS HIGH TIME NOW TO SHOW YOU WHAT I REALLY AM. I MUST TELL YOU THAT I AM NOT AS SIMPLE AS YOU ARE THINKING. EVEN MY GIRLFRIEND HAS NOT BEEN ABLE TO UNDERSTAND ME PROPERLY YET. I will give some points for your final reference.

1- I still love my girlfriend a lot & i am not at all bothered for whatever issues that we are facing right now. I would like you not to involve my name with anybody else. Had you been my true friends i would have never given it a thought which is not the case.

2- The students of C 7/9 are able to get good gpas in spite of not studying much because we have something called a brain in the structure that rests on our necks. If you don't then please don't bother us. when i say i don't study i mean those. Because i don't think i have anything to hide.

3- I react casually that does not necessarily say that i don't feel the pain. Believe me it has gone beyond my limit now.

4- just because i don't show off & boast of my achievements that does not mean i am a useless creature. i have already achieved that much which a lot of you would not be able to in your lifetime.

Guys please don’t forget the main motive of yours of joining a b- school. Try to focus on that. & please, please, please GROW UP & GET A LIFE.

A massive TON or A simple LIE

Posted by Lagnajit Pradhan on 8:40 PM
Hi folks!!! Let me tell you all an incident which happened when I was doing my

intermediate. As I have said you in one of my earlier posts that, this was the time

when I left my books in hibernation. This is about my chemistry tuitions. I along

with one of my friend bunked the class on one fine morning just to explore the

already explored Bhubaneswar. The class was at 7 am & I got a call from my tuition

sir at around 8 am, but then it was pretty obvious that I did not receive. I can

still recall that we two had such stupid brains that we even had made plans of

giving some silly excuses in the next class which was only a day after. The very

next day to my bad luck my friend went somewhere & I was the only one who went to

the class to face the bullets shot at me. You know, what reaction did I get after

entering the class??? CONGRATULATIONS, CONGRATULATIONS, WELL DONE, KEEP IT UP & all

such motivating stuff. My left as well as my right brain both stopped functioning.

Then sir congratulated me for my unbelievable show in a cricket match. Without

knowing anything I said thanks & the class got started. After the class I asked one

of my friend about that . Then he also congratulated me and said me my score in that

match. I had scored 192 runs in just 74 balls with some 20 odd sixes & my name had

got a mention in the news. I came back home & read the newspaper. The headline on the

sports page in the leading oriya newspaper that day read as “Lagnajit nka bisaala

sataka, Biswabharati bijayi” which essentially means A huge century by Lagnajit,

Biswabharati wins. You all must be thinking if I had done that how come I was

ignorant about that. Obviously I was not in the lead role of “GHAJINI” that I was

suffering from any “short term memory loss”. But the fact was my name is Lagnajit

PRADHAN, whereas the person scoring that massive ton was Mr. Lagnajit SAMAL. But

when all read lagnajit , nobody did care to read the complete news. All my friends &

my sir till date know that I was that player. So I am saying the truth now. Sir

please forgive me for that day & I was actually roaming in front of the classroom

but could not gather the courage to enter as chemistry is a subject that sucks to

the core. Anyways all you guys keep rocking….buhbyeeeeee…

a great asset

Hi readers. Hope you had a great New Year month. I am back to describe an incident about a personality, though not famous but having the highest significance in my life. This happened long back. A boy from a remote village could pass the SSC examination from the state board with a mere 2nd division. The reason of mentioning state board is he could not speak even a single sentence in English. He joined a good college where he met with a lot of people who had come from real reputed families belonging to a so called high status. He could not relate himself much & kept himself alien from them. None of the faculties noticed him till the results of the ISC exams got declared. That boy had got the 15th position in the whole state. All of a sudden this boy became the center of attraction in the college because he was the first student in the history of the college to achieve that. The book of achievements had already started giving a mention to this boy & the writings even got more golden after that. He decided to do his bachelor’s in political science. You know what, this time he became the topper in the state. Then he joined his master’s course. In his very first semester of his master’s degree he wrote 70 pages in an exam in just 3 hours. The invigilator asked him whether the paper was going to be evaluated depending on its weight. This boy who could not even speak English a few years back challenged the invigilator in front of the whole class that he would get the highest marks in that paper. Guess what, not only he got the highest marks but also he set a new record in that paper by scoring most marks ever secured. He followed it up with another top spot in the state in his masters. Imagine a boy from a remote village getting two gold medals in the state. Now he is working as a reputed & highly admired administrative officer. Not only he speaks but also gives training sessions to top officers. He is not confined to a village now. He is even going abroad to give training sessions. Now guys can you guess who this gentleman is? Yes you are right it’s not me. But I can proudly say that he is my father. Papa here is wishing you a great life & do bless me so that I can achieve a drop out of the ocean that you have created. Love you a lot.
