a book called "DIRECT FROM DELL"

As promised readers, I am back & this time to write something good. Well I am not a voracious reader & to be honest i am that kind of a reader who has an allergy at the sight of a book having more than 5 pages in it. I am a person who toils hard at the eleventh hour to at least get a grade D in the exams. so i thought why not try something new & exciting by commenting on a book. I was actually forced to read this book as it was considered for my internal marks. But while forcefully reading this book burning the mid night oil just before the presentation day i actually started enjoying it. The story is of a boy called Michael dell taking his school time hobby & turning it into a multi billion dollar industry. Then i did browse the net to get some in depth facts about MICHAEL DELL, the owner & founder of dell & the facts that i found out are astounding.

This gentleman earned a whooping $ 2000 at the age of 12 by doing a stamp auction. I was probably doing "bistar gila" when i was 12. OK jokes apart folks he later on made $ 18000 when he was only 16 in 1980. that's roughly about $ 45000 now. I am not sure how many IIM graduates are going to be placed for that amount in this crisis period. Now i guess its enough about the founder of the company to let you know that what kind of an uncommon talent he was from his child hood.

Now lets talk about the book. This book demands hardly a couple of hours. Have my words on that because i could finish it in 3 hours. Its a good book for the MBA students who visualise entrepreneurs within them. Well if i have to give a summary then this page would go on & on. It has a hell of a collection of marketing ideas which are very relevant in this current era. which i had actually noted down but don't think its feasible to write down here, But if someone is interested to know then he or she can definitely comment & i would write those in another blog. Now i guess i will have to shut down my laptop as i feel terribly sleepy....so ta ta folks .....enjoy & i will be back soon.
