Taking me for granted is your biggest blunder
Well to begin with I would like to tell you all about my first few days at ITM business school, navi Mumbai. That view of the ever happening metro from the sky is still very fresh in my mind. It was not the first time that I was coming to Bombay but then there was definitely something special about that trip. I was somewhat apprehensive of the fact that how to cope up with the “Mumbai culture”. But then that initial journey became easy after meeting some really good friends. We were 16 in all as a group. We celebrated together; we shared a lot among ourselves till small conflicts started rising their stupid heads from nowhere & that group became extinct in no time. Some went for new friends which I call as “Brand repositioning”. Still we had small group which was like a family. But the crap called “EGO” then took its toll. This is the way people change & the direction of your life takes a u-turn. I can recall the song of page 3 at this hour. “kitne ajeeb rishtey hai yahan pe” Probably I am deviating from my subject of concern. So let me come to the incidents that I was mentioning about.
Before commenting on anybody I apologize, but I would do it because I feel it is necessary for me at least. Let me tell you that I am not like a “doodh ka dhula” kind. But I always criticize others to make them aware of their mistakes & I expect others to do the same with me also.
First thing I want to mention about is a small kind of award function that we, the students of batch A tried to organize during the time of Oscars as a pastime activity & with the motive of simple fun as we all believed that the 3rd term was getting really boring. But then we faced a problem. Some students of the class did not want to participate in it for whatever reasons that they considered valid. The sad part was the guys who were nominated in the so called bad categories were enjoying to the core but the guys who opposed, they were actually nominated in all the good categories. What I inferred was probably they did not participate because they were treated as every other student of the batch which they didn’t like at all. I just have a simple question “if you consider yourself as a true leader then allow others to take the lead in some other activities as well.” I believe that would make you a better leader. You are going to be famous till the date your attitude comes into the scene.
The second incident happened just yesterday during one of the marketing presentations in the class. People who boast of being professional were behaving like nursery kids & were showing the worst immature behavior possible. Before blowing their own horns they could have thought only once that they were in a class of a professional post graduation course. I appreciate our faculty for doing the need of the hour. But then I have two more points over here. First one is for the presenters. “Provide the data which are facts or stick to the basics. In order to make your show a lot more interesting don’t fake.” The second thing is to behave while presenting. It’s not the audience who is the center of attraction while you are presenting. So probably you should try to maintain the decorum. Now I also want to say something to the audience. After such an intense presentation don’t ask silly questions which have no sense. Give it a try to believe the presenters because they have done the research on it. So they must be having a better idea. All I believe is the situation could have been handled a lot better by both the audience & the presenters. I think 4 of them were involved in all that & to be frank i had a high degree of respect for at least two of them. But now none of them deserve that & they wont get it also. but i have a piece of suggestion for those two for sure. i can recall a sher of dr. kumar whose last line is "jo mera ho nahin shakta wo tera ho nahin shakta". Please guys try to judge a person before making him a friend of yours. You would excel a lot more after that.
Now something I want to clarify with my friends. You guys have been asking me about my strong statements in my orkut profile. Let me tell you the reason. I wanted to have an image which is very low profile, immature, carefree & all other words having meanings which fall into the similar bracket. But then everyone started taking me for granted. I was fine with that also because I knew my motive of coming to Bombay & that was not being hampered by all these things. But now it has started having an impact on that also. So I just want to say is GUYS IF YOU THINK I AM THAT KIND OF A PERSON THEN I AM AFRAID YOU ARE SERIOUSLY MISTAKEN. I JUST DON’T WANT TO FIGHT BACK BECAUSE WHENEVER I DO THAT, I DO THAT HARD. I AM MORE THAN JUST CAPABLE TO CONVERT YOUR “BRAHMASTRA” INTO A “BOOMERANG” FOR YOU. I HAVE SEEN & DONE IT ALL. PROBABLY IT IS HIGH TIME NOW TO SHOW YOU WHAT I REALLY AM. I MUST TELL YOU THAT I AM NOT AS SIMPLE AS YOU ARE THINKING. EVEN MY GIRLFRIEND HAS NOT BEEN ABLE TO UNDERSTAND ME PROPERLY YET. I will give some points for your final reference.
1- I still love my girlfriend a lot & i am not at all bothered for whatever issues that we are facing right now. I would like you not to involve my name with anybody else. Had you been my true friends i would have never given it a thought which is not the case.
2- The students of C 7/9 are able to get good gpas in spite of not studying much because we have something called a brain in the structure that rests on our necks. If you don't then please don't bother us. when i say i don't study i mean those. Because i don't think i have anything to hide.
3- I react casually that does not necessarily say that i don't feel the pain. Believe me it has gone beyond my limit now.
4- just because i don't show off & boast of my achievements that does not mean i am a useless creature. i have already achieved that much which a lot of you would not be able to in your lifetime.
Guys please don’t forget the main motive of yours of joining a b- school. Try to focus on that. & please, please, please GROW UP & GET A LIFE.
