Hey folks. It is great to be back here to my blog. Well last day was a breathtaking day. College got over around 3 PM this Monday. It was raining cats & dogs in New Bombay then & I had already got a word of warning from my parents back home that it was going to pour down even more heavily. So the evil mind started planning a ride on bike & Lonavla came out as the most happening place to go for a high-speed ride. Obviously Mr. Manish Jain & Mr. Puneet Mehta were up to it. We clued-up Sanjay to be ready. I had only one bike & we needed another one. I am truly thankful to Abhishek for giving his bike to us without giving a second thought. Anyhow we started our journey from KV but guess what we had to stay back in Kharghar for quite a few hours as Abhishek’s bike broke down. Finally with a lot of effort & after spending half a thousand Indian rupees we started our journey to the heaven on two bikes. It was utterly gloomy by then & downpour had become even more intense. Believe me I would not have trusted anyone else than Sanjay to ride along with me. The ride was enormous & the ride on the GHATS near lonavla was adventurous. But the deadliest voyage was yet to come. There came an off beam prediction from our two mumbaikar navigators, just a wrong turn & we found ourselves among the gigantic massive trucks on the expressway. We were the only ones travelling on bikes on that boulevard & believe me it was a hell of a ride. I could just not make up my mind whether to go right or left. Finally we arrived at lonavla & had to stay in a lodge thanks to our sudden plan & cash constraint. The manner in which the receptionist entered our details in his register was damn hilarious. I would not discuss about the night. That’s top secret. Hey by the way we also watched the Champions trophy final that night in the room. Then the next day we checked out by 10.30. We then went to the Lion’s point & the Bushy dam. Both are staggering places to visit , I can assure you all of that. We packed our bags & got on our bikes for the return journey which took us almost half of the time that we took during the up journey. It is an experience that I would definitely cherish for ever & I am looking forward to more such trips. By the way both bikes now seriously need a servicing. Ha ha ha.
